Abstract


The purpose of this study is to survey of actual condition of the restricted activity caused by university students¢¥ oral diseases, examine the related factors closely, and prepare the fundamental data for university students¢¥ oral health promotion.
The subject of study were 472 college students who were selected randomly. The method of survey was making up a questions for students. The items of survey were total 31 items such as the restricted activity days caused by oral diseases, social economic factors and students¢¥ recognition for their oral health.
In this paper, the averages of the restricted activity days were compared according to independent variable like social economic factors. The factors related to the restricted activity were analyzed by multiple logistic regression.
The results of this study were as follows:
1. The proposition of students¢¥ restricted activity was 23.1%, and the average of the restricted activitydays was 1.36.
2. It was confirmed that students¢¥ restricted activity are related to dental utilization,
3. Those with negative recognitions toward prevention of oral disease had higher possibility of experiencing restricted activitiy than those with positive recognition.
4. Those who felt burdensome in sparing time for dental care were more likely to be lying sick in bed and experience impediment in their school studies.
